For a blogger, knowing what’s on trend is key. Watching every fashion week, keeping up on editorials, and having an eye for killer street style are all just part of the job. So when fishnets re-emerged back on the scene, I got so excited, I peed a little.
If you know me, you know that when I find something I like, I buy it in every color, every variation, and style it in every way that Pinterest has ever seen. The fishnet trend has been no exception. Pink, red, black, and blue fishnets have now made it into my wardrobe and are being worn on repeat.
An easy, fail safe way to style fishnets is to wear them as they have been tradtionaly worn. This way is just as a straight up tight, like I’ve worn them here. Wearing them under a super destroyed pair of denim so they peak out through the holes is another chic AF way to rock fishnets as full tights. Letting them peek out of the top of your denim with a throwback crop top is only for the devout 90’s worshipper.
A great way to keep fishnets looking updated is layering a full fishnet tight under a pair of over the knee boots. Paired with a structured mini or a t-shirt dress and your street style points will go up astronomically. Fishnet tights add depth to your look, like any good accessory will, and can elevate a simple outfit.
If you are a little more daring, and want to really slay this trend, then fishnet socks are going to be your go to. Styling a pair of your favorite mom cropped denim or a pair with a statement hem (like fringe) with fishnet socks will help spotlight the major details of your look. Utilizing an open toe mary jane or strappy heel with the socks are perfect ways to make you a street style maven.
However your style your fishnets, I’ll even allow a full bodysuit that’s how much I love this trend alert, make sure to keep it chic, minimal accessories, and with a touch of masculinity.
