v1.1.5 – Better Discovery & Tutorials

We just released v1.1.5 last Friday, after two months of restructuring our internal engineering priorities and processes. We’re now set up to do more iterative and incremental deployment going forward, so that we can build new features and improve performance for Linkqlo users even faster. v1.1.5 introduces intuitive in-app tutorials for first-time users and a new Suggested Users page to help you find more interesting and relevant people like you, among many other improvements.

Better Guidance!

  • Plant visual tutorial tips on key screens across the app for first-time users
  • More descriptive tip text for posting
  • Better call-to-action UI on key screens
  • More prominent Add button that’s hard to miss

Better Discovery!

  • Add Suggested Users page for Trending and People Like You
  • All the brands are now on display on Discover page
  • More official accounts to facilitate content discovery

  • No more time stamp
  • Whiter background
  • Sleeker looking icons and navigation menu
  • More consistent color palette across the entire app
  • More space for images, less space for text on What’s New
  • Remove unnecessary info on display

Better Posting!

  • Revamp the posting route for more intuitive flow and lower chance of errors
  • Photos are now automatically saved to camera roll
  • Add a clothing category of “Other”

Better Performance!

  • Fix various bugs
  • – Tim is sick 🙁
  • Remove unnecessary 3rd party SDK
  • No more ghost text every now and then
  • URL link is working for https now
  • Time Push Notification prompt better
  • Remove redundant data loading
  • Switch for reliable email service
  • Tim is back 🙂

  • Separation of staging instance from production
